More Amenities at Fulshear Lakes
Enhancing Community Life with Fresh Spaces to Explore
Fulshear Lakes’ newest amenity complex, Travis Park, is slated to bring an indoor/outdoor event building — Prairie Hall — as well as a pool, splash pad, trails and more to the heart of Fulshear Lakes next to Bessie’s Creek.
The proposed central park complex in Fulshear is in its final design phase and will be located along the west side of Fulshear Lakes Way north of the bridge over Bessie’s Creek, which flows through the master-planned community. No timing for completion will be released until after the bids are taken and awarded and the contractor provides an estimated timeline.
Fulshear Lakes is a new walkable community located at the intersection of Fulshear School Road and FM 1093 just east of Pool Hill Road and being developed by Sam Yager Incorporated for Fulshear Lakes Ltd.
“Travis Park will be a notable destination developed in a manner that celebrates Fulshear Lakes’ modern mountain prairie style and provided for Fulshear Lakes’ families to connect with nature, beat the summer heat, gather with friends or just unplug,” said Sam Yager III, Vice President of Fulshear Lakes, Ltd.
Phase 1 of Travis Park amenity complex, the future home of the Fulshear Lakes Recreation Center, will include a swimming pool, splash pad, a large open gathering green, a dedicated parking lot, space for food trucks, and the Prairie Hall event building. Prairie Hall will be an indoor/outdoor air-conditioned event hall created to host simple family meet-ups to special event celebrations. Its design aligns with modern prairie style barn architecture with gabled roofs, rust metal roofing, covered porches and exposed beams.
Travis Park’s first phase also features neighborhood connectivity via trails to Lakeside Park Village and Hillside Village and a pedestrian bridge across the adjacent creek connecting to the Bluet Lake Park neighborhood that features 70-foot homesites
A future Phase 2 of the Travis Park amenity complex also proposes a playground, pickleball courts, and a sports lawn. The design timeline and construction of amenities are subject to change as recreational trends may be adjusted over time.
Community amenities already include trails, four lakes, Bessie’s Creek and Sheffield Park, which offers an open pavilion, playground, shade structures and one small island overlooking Riley Lake. Lake Park, located along the northwestern edge of Forktail Lake, has a beautiful monument, sitting areas, a playground and a dock extending into the lake.
"Travis Park will be a notable destination developed in a manner that celebrates Fulshear Lakes’ modern mountain prairie style and provided for Fulshear Lakes’ families to connect with nature, beat the summer heat, gather with friends or just unplug."
